“The location was really very good, peaceful and with walks by the river. We knew it was a long way from the main road but not that there was four kilometres of dirt road.On arrival we found the house very, very untidy and unacceptably dirty. Had to clean the kitchen, wash cutlery etc. Hoover floors, get rid of as many insects as was possible. Also house damp.Without alternative accommodation we did stay for 3 nights of the four and then found a motel.We could not recommend this house in its current condition of cleanliness. Liz and Jonathan February 2018. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------THE HOST SAY'S: We are saddened to hear that Jonathan and Liz expectations weren't met and were surprised by the review.We have had a very warm summer with the expected hum of insects and plenty of visitors whom have given us very positive feed back about our home.We do live in the country and had been clear that the isolation adds to the magic of any stay. In New Zealand a gravel road is normal so we are unsure how this is a problem.We do hope that the rest of their holiday went well ”
