“Tidy and simply furnished little flat with very relaxed and accommodating host. We liked the feeling of being local by staying off the beaten tourist route. We bought SIM cards with good data packs so despite having no WiFi in the flat we could access full data for our needs. We caught a taxi straight to the flat from the airport which was affordable, had a little trouble getting in as there were three entrances needing codes and we only had two codes... the concierge were a bit suspicious I think, and surprised that westerners were staying there. We worked out that the gate code is also the foyer code. Ask Nadia for a second set of keys as it is easy to lock yourself out of the flat, and then there is no option to get back in. We couldn’t find the remotes for the air conditioning and there was no instruction book and no response from the host who was probably out of range. It was very very hot and humid so check with Nadia before you get there how to turn on the three air conditioners. Also the shower water was cold (refreshing in the heat for a little while...) until we worked out there was a switch for the water heater in the hall. The little idiosyncrasies of other people’s homes! Bring your own towels. Despite these small hiccups we were grateful to have a handy quiet and clean home in Hong Kong, slept well, and loved the views. I’d be happy to stay at Nadia’s again. ”
