“Rarotonga is the paradise island that you dream of: beautiful beaches, palm trees, perfect temperature...we also spotted some incredibly blue starfish in water that was so low, we did not even need to swim! Russell\'s and Cushla\'s house is large, comfortable and new; it sits in the middle of local vegetation, including banana trees; still, in just 10 minutes\' walk you can reach the 24/7 supermarket and the bus station. We used the buses a lot, because they are easy (just two lines, circling the whole island in opposite directions) and reliable; but we could also have used the bikes that Russell and Cushla made available for us. Last but not least, when they came to our home, they behaved perfectly and even became friends of our neighbors (we were not there at the time)”
