We love our apartment! Recently renovated by a curator from the Guggenheim with an open layout, it is perfect for our family with two kids. It is extremely quiet (for geographical reasons, I describe this a little more below), but still a block from the bustle of Broadway. We're on a high floor and get flooded with sunlight.
There are three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Aside from the master, one has a loft bed (great for a kid or teen), and the other can be converted to a double bed (and has an original 1917 "shaving closet" if you've never seen one of those). There is also an aerobed if necessary.
We are non-smokers, and can't have pets in our apartment due to allergies. (Though we can visit & care for yours! The medicine works very well.)

We are a couple in our 40 years with two children (Eliot & Avery, 9 & 13 years old). We are a family of string musicians (I'm the violist) not coincidentally orchestrated for string quartets once Avery gets a bit older, very exciting! In addition to cello, Eliot sings in the Metropolitan Opera Children's Chorus... all the posters are operas he has performed in!
We are interested in a simultaneous swap for a good portion of July 2021; places on our wishlist: Zion/Bryce/national parks in Utah; Montana and Yellowstone; Tulum or Akumal, Mexico, Barcelona, Croatia, Portugal, Vancouver, anywhere on a beach or a lake. Due to covid, we'd have to make sure international flights are feasible. The kids won't be vaccinated for some time.
The neighborhood is wonderful. We're only a block from Riverside Park & from the nearby subway, four blocks from Central Park. Columbia University, St John the Divine, Riverside Church, Grant's Memorial, etc are all within 10 blocks or so. There is as much shopping and restaurants as you could wish for on Broadway (one block away), but West End is quiet & residential. Also, we are off of "Upper" Riverside Drive... look at the map to see what I mean, but it effectively means we get no through traffic in either direction. It's quiet!
