Traditional Swiss Chalet in excellent location

Chalet Merymont is a cosy traditional Chalet located just minutes from the Roc D'Orsay telecabine which serves the main ski slopes. The Chalet is south facing with stunning panoramic views of the mountains and the perfect base for a wonderful stay in the Alps.

The open plan living area located on the first floor comprises a well stocked kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, a cosy lounge with 22inch flatscreen TV (offering German, French, Italian and English channels) and DVD player, with a separate comfortable dining area with a large table for wonderful nights in. If alfresco dining is more to your taste then our large balcony leading off from the dining area is the perfect sunny spot, allowing you to enjoy the wonderful views across the Swiss alps and our large garden. The Garden has a sunny grass terrace leading down to another level with two swings for children, making it very family friendly.

Chalet Merymont has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Upstairs on the upper floor we have two lovely bedrooms with large double beds and great views over the valley, with a family bathroom with separate WC. On the lower floor, there is a large, cosy bedroom with two single beds and a sofa bed, served by another bathroom with a shower and WC. For your convenience there is also a small laundry with washing machine and dryer, as well as our ski boot hallway, with separate basement entry and outside ski locker.

The chalet also has access to a shared indoor heated pool and sauna (coin operated) located just 50 metres from the Chalet. This is where you will also find a private lockable garage and an additional parking space in front of the garage for guests.

In winter, take advantage of over 125km of ski pistes in the Villars-Gryon-Diablerets-Glacier 3000 ski area, with a large variety of different trails to suit every skill level of snow sport enthusiasts. Alternatively, make the most of the stunning views from one of the many marked winter hiking paths and snowshoeing trails, sled down a 1.5km tobogganing run or skate in the village rink - there is something here for everyone! The village of Villars is a pleasant 10 minute walk away, or you can use the free ski shuttle bus that links the Roc D'Osay telecabine and Village.

In the summer Villars boasts over 300 km of Alpine walking and hiking and 50 km of mountain bike trails, allowing you to discover the unspoilt alpine nature and our 3 high mountain lakes. An 18-hole golf course at an altitude of 1,600 metres offers the unique experience of playing golf facing Mont-Blanc. Further afield, there are plenty of other great activities to keep you busy during your stay, including Switzerland's hottest thermal springs (Lavey-les-Bains), the historic salt mines in Bex and of course Lake Geneva, that are all within 30 minutes drive. Villars is also a great base from which to explore other scenic spots in Switzerland, with Gstaad, St Bernard, Evian (France), Gruyères and the Cailler chocolate factory all making for great days out.
