Center of Europe, Swiss mountains and lakes

“Peter & Madeleine offered us their really comfortable home, set in a rural setting, though close to all the facilities of shops, visitor attractions and the capital city of Bern, only a short ride away by train or car. While the house is old and full of character, it has been fully upgraded with all modern conveniences. We travelled to many of the Swiss beauty spots including the Swiss Alps, Lake Thun, Intelakan and the Susten Pass. In addition we spent time visiting lots of the very fine local villages and of course close-by Lake Biel. Their home is very modern surrounded by lovely gardens, where we enjoyed lots of evening sunshine, accompanied by a glass of wine as we BBQ ed dinner. The overall ambiance of the area was excellent in all respects and we would gladly return at some future time.”

“We spent a wonderful three weeks in this rural home in a farm valley near Bern. It is a mile from the train station (and thus within walking distance) and 15 minutes from Bern. Major cities and attractions (mainly the Alps) are within two hours. It was great that we traded vehicles, which gave us the flexibility to travel when we wanted. The home is a remodeled inn from the 1700s, but it has all the comforts of a modern home. The location, as well as the quaintness of the home and surroundings, made it a once in a lifetime experience. We would recommend it to anyone. Mike and Diane Lilley”
