“We enjoyed our stay in Muralto and Rene's flat very much. The flat is large, comfortable and very clean. The kitchen is very well equipped, the rooms bright and spacious. There is a sunny, large-ish balcony leading into a shared garden with small swimming pool. The location of the flat was convenient, on a quite road however walking distance to most things. To the lake 5 minutes, train station 10 minutes, main square 15 minutes.Lots of shops and restaurants close-by. You can easily take a cable car, then gondola up the mountain for hiking and biking trails. Fantastic views from there too. We also hiked in a gorgeous valley 25 minutes drive from the house. Communication with Rene was easy and friendly. We are very grateful for to him for sharing his holiday home with us. Well worth the points! Highly recommend this place!”

“We had a wonderful few days . It was situated perfectly for our cycling around the lakes and up Magic Valley , idyllic . The apartment had everything we needed , the pool was a real plus as we were fortunate to have warm weather for September , the parking was great and all made for us having a memorable stay . Would recommend it to all who wish to visit a very special part of Europe . ”

“We had two great nights stay in Rene and Brigitte's apartment in Muralto, Ticino overlooking Lake Maggiore, we'd wished we had time to stay longer. The apartment was big and very comfortable and the pool looked inviting but we had little time to swim in it. Rene was so kind and generous to wait until late for us due to a delay in arriving from Milan. The apartment is an easy walk from the lovely town centre. We explored the area and took a trip on the funicular railway and ski lift above the town and experienced the magnificent Alpine views. Would love to go back some day.”

“Rene met us at the station and drove us home where he showed us everything that we needed to know. He then departed to leave us to enjoy this wonderful apartment in this stunning location. We only slept and had breakfast there as we had a Swiss Travel Pass and used it every day. We were out at nine in the morning and home around five every night. Winter in Switzerland is fantastic and we made the most of it. Thank you Rene thank you very much we loved the apartment, it felt just like home. Harry and Yvonne.”

“We had a wonderful time in Muralto. The lake is so close and it's very easy to drive to quiet spots in the mountains for beautiful walks or hikes. René was there to greet us and spent a lot of time suggesting various trips. He kindly lent us several useful maps and guidebooks. The flat itself is very comfortable and really well equipped. It's quiet and has a garden and shared swimming pool. ”

“We did a points swap with Rene and Brigitte's apartment in Muralto in late Sept 2016. The communication with Rene was first class and all arrangements went smoothly. Rene met us at the apartment and explained everything very well. He even helped get some food shopping quickly as the shop were about to shut on Saturday and they are not open on Sundays. The apartment is very clean, spacious, comfortable and very well equipped (especially the kitchen - which is very important to us). The immediate area is very friendly and in a convenient location to explore the lake and the surrounding areas . Rene gave us tips on what to see and where to go and also provided a good range of maps and leaflets. We would certainly recommend this property for swapping. “We had a great visit to Rene's apartment using our swap points. Locarno is a beautiful city and is well sited for exploring the shores of Lago Maggiore. We were a bit unlucky with the weather but we still had a fabulous time visiting the little towns and their beaches along the north western shore of the lake. On the one day when it rained heavily we went to the Locarno Lido and swam in an outdoor heated swimming pool - absolute heaven. Another 'must do' thing in Locarno is the Centovalli railway. This tiny little train track takes you into Italy through an amazingly beautiful mountain range, over bridges and gorges, alongside waterfalls. We didn't go the whole way but hopped off in Santa Maria Maggiore and had a ramble around the small town and a lazy lunch before travelling back. We travelled with two toddlers and a 4 year old and they had a great time. There is a play park not far from the apartment which was good for when they needed to run off some steam. They loved paddling in the lake and particularly enjoyed consuming way too much gelato. Rene was incredibly friendly and helpful and met us at the apartment to explain how everything worked. This made our stay much easier. Communication throughout was good and I would highly recommend him as a 'swapper'.”
