House near lake and city of Zurich

“We had the pleasure of staying in the house of Beatrice and Robert. As art lovers we were happily surprised with not only the art inside of the house, but also the art of the beautiful nature surrounding this house with view on lake Zurich. Relax on one of the terraces, feed the fish in the little pond or just stroll through the house and fall in love with the art and book collection of this fantastic couple. On the first evening I was even invited to dinner and spent a fantastic time with their friends as well.”

“This lovely home is a 20 minute up hill walk from the town centre (groceries)and Lake Zurich, providing a beautiful view. Robert also picked us up from the train. Our hosts (Robert and Beatrice) stayed at the house with us for our two week non-simultaneous exchange. They enjoy visiting with their guests and were welcoming. The town of Meilen is a great location as it has excellent transportation via train to Zurich and boat/train to Lucerne and other cities such as Bern and Basel. Meilen is well located for travel along the lake itself. We took a lovely trip to Rapperswill on Robert's recommendation - boat there and train return. We also took the train to the fabulous Appenzell region and stayed there for hiking in the Ebenalp.”

“I had a none-simultaneous exchange with Robert and Beatrice in May, 2013. I found the location is convenience in terms of public transportations. The house is beautifully decorated as you can see from the photos. For some unforeseen reasons, I had to make the trip alone instead of two people and I was not sure what to expect. When I arrived by train, Robert picked me up at the train station and then a welcome dinner made me feel right at home. During my stay, Robert and Beatrice offered a lot of information as far as what to see in Zurich and Switzerland, a glass of wine at dinners, even giving me a ride to a store to pick up some material for my home improvement projects. I had a very pleasant stay. Thank you Robert and Beatrice for your great hospitality！I cannot wait till hosting you in our condo in Chicago.”
