“We had a wonderful exchange with Stücki family. Their house is on a super location with a fantastic panorama on Mount Pilatus. It is spacious and has a well-maintained garden with carefully selection of plants and trees. Danielle's guestbook has it all including super personal suggestions on what one can do around the area. We particularly enjoyed the terraces in the garden to eat outside and play ping pong. Starting from the house one can easily go to many interesting places nearby by bike: Sonnenberg behind, the towns Kriens and Luzern, and of course Lake Luzern for swimming and bike-trips and mount Pilates for walking. A lot to discover! And a lovely place to come ‘home’ to! Between mountains, lakes, 'la campagne' and cityculture! “We feel very fortunate to have enjoyed our first house swap with Christian, Danielle and children during summer 2016. We received a warm welcome when we arrived in Lucerne, and were treated to a delightful traditional dinner cooked by the whole family, we felt at home in an instant. This wonderful house is overlooking the city of Lucerne, with stunning panoramic views of Mount Pilatus. The house is a great base for exploring the nature of the area, and for the city of Lucerne. The friendly neighbours also helped us feel at home. We met Christian and Danielle again on our return home, to a spotless house, and a welcome breakfast. We are so happy that we swapped with this family and house, I highly recommend them for an exchange, and hope that we get chance to meet again!”

“This is a beautiful, comfortable, and clean house with terraces and gardens. We very much enjoyed eating most of our meals on one of the terraces with dramatic views of Mount Pilatus. It is easy and convenient to get into the center of Lucerne by bus, but it is also possible to take wonderful walks from the house. The family is warm and friendly. They gave us good advice on things to do while at their house and they also took great care of our house. We hope we will be friends for life.”

“What a joy to exchange with Christian and Danielle, to share our houses but also to communicate with the family! The house is extraordinary, on the heights of the town of Kriens, overlooking Luzern, the town and the lake, facing Mount Pilatus; the view is sumptuous and you can spend your evenings on the terrace or from the living room window admiring the landscape. The house is very comfortable and the paintings painted by Christian make it warm and very "chic". The environment, the mountains and the lakes provide the joy of hiking but also to enjoy quietly this preserved nature. As for Christian and Philippe, they are absolutely adorable, warm and funny. We had a lot of fun sharing a dinner and meeting up again when we left. And in fact, we only wish one thing, it is to make a new exchange with them :). But to write such a review, I risk generating competition! ”

“We stayed om Cristians and Danielle's house in July 2019. We loved the house from the 1st moment we stepped in. House is in beautful location on a mountain so views are the most amazing. In all the details of the house you can feel the love and attention for details what have been put in decorating and designing it. Danille has created an amazing garden and Cristian's own paintings on the walls were a nice extra - it was like a small art exhibition which we really liked. We felt very peaceful and happy in the house, it fitted for us perfectly and to our standards/preferences (clean, tasteful, spacious, close to city etc...) Luzern is a nice pretty compact town and it has a nice vibrant centre. From the house it was easy to access different mountains and hikes. What we especially liked were the various swimming places in the city/surroundings. Based on Danielle's recommendation, we spent every day (if not the whole day, then late afternoon after our daytime activities) in a pool on the lake which was great because kids enjoyed the pool but also swimming in the lake where they could snorkle and see fishes. We stayed in Luzern for 7 days but after all we felt it was too short because we enjoyed the city and surroundings so much. What comes to communication with Danille and Cristian, it was excellent. We also met in our place in Utrecht and had dinner together which was really nice. Danielle and Cristian are very warm people and we felt very confortable to leave our house in their hands. We also got very good advice what to doin Luzern and children appreciated a lot the play corner what was set for them in the house. All and all we could have not dreamed of a better swap experience than this. Thank you Danielle and Cristian from the exchange opportunity and I hope our roads still cross and we have an opportunity to meet again! ”
