The apartment is in downtown (Eaux-Vives), very close to the lake (1 minute by foot) and to the famous Water Fountain (the "Jet d'eau"). It's also very close to the main street (in frenche: les rues basses) where there are all the store and a lot of restaurant and cafés. The view of the flat is on the La Grange Park (one of the biggest park in Geneva), we're a at 6th floor in a old bulding (around 1910-1920). 1 bedroom with a queensize bed, 1 livingroom, 1 fully equiped kitchen with a diningroom and 1 bathroom (with a washmachine and a bath-tub). Furniture are new and modern. We've a 40' flatTV, media center, Cable, high-speed internet, WiFi. SuperMarket at 4 minutes by foot, market every wednesday and saturday at 10 minutes by foot. A quiet situation in a animeted neighbor.
We're two students at the University of Geneva, we live in that apartment since april 2008.
Geneva is a plaisant and international city in center of Europe, close to France (the border is at 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bus), it's very fast to go to Annecy, Lyon and Paris is at 3h30 in train. Geneva is also close to the moutain (Prealps and Alps). The apartment is in the neighbourhood of the "Eaux-Vives", it's a animed neighbor in the center of the city and at the edge of the lake. Publics transport (bus, train, tramway, ...) are very developped in the city and its environs and it's the better way to go where you want to go. Geneva is a worldwide center for diplomacy and international cooperation, and is widely regarded as a global city, mainly because of the presence of numerous international organizations, including the headquarters of many of the agencies of the United Nations and the Red Cross. A 2007 survey by Mercer Consulting found Geneva to have the second-highest quality of life in the world (narrowly outranked by Zürich).
