Notre maison

Notre appartement est modeste mais spacieux et lumineux. Au dernier étage d'un vieil immeuble un peu brinquebalant, il a une surface de 60m² répartis en 3 grandes pièces(cuisine, salon et chambre) et une salle de bain rénovée il y a peu. La cuisine est toute équipée et on peut y manger. Le salon est très grand et la lumière y rentre à flot en fin de journée; la chambre est un vrai havre de paix avec ses vélux.

Our flat is modest but spacious and full of light. At the last floor of an old building, it is has a surface of 60 square meters which consist of 3 big rooms (kitchen, living room and bedroom) and a recently renovated bathroom. The kitchen is all-equipped and you can take your meals in it. The living is really big and there is lot of light coming in at sunset; the bedroom is a safe haven with its 2 roofwindows.

Nous sommes un couples de français, Bérénice et Michel, qui résidons sur Genève. Je suis doctorante en droit international tandis que mon compagnon qui vient de me rejoindre cherche un emploi en tant que commercial. De par nos origines métissées (France, Antilles, Afrique), nous aimons voyager et découvrir de nouvelles cultures. Nous n'avons pas encore fait d'échange de maisons, mais du couchsurfing aux Etats-Unis. N'hésitez pas à nous écrire!
We are a French couple, Bérénice and Michel, who live in Geneva. I am a PhD candidate in international law while Michel is at the moment looking for a job in marketing area after having just arrived. Given our mixed origins (France, Caribbean, Africa), we love travelling and discovering new cultures. We have never exchanged our place yet but have couchsurfed in the US. Situé au dernier étage d'un vieil immeuble accueillant des étudiants sympathiques en grandes colocations (aux étages inférieurs), l'appartement se trouve à 2 minutes à pied de la gare de Genève (et de ses transports en commun), dans une rue animée avec plein de petits restaurants, dans un quartier cosmopolite, à 4 minutes à pied du lac et de son fameux jet d'eau derrière lequel, les jours de beau temps, on peut apercevoir la pointe du mythique Mont-Blanc. Genève est une ville charmante, internationale mais à taille humaine où on peut se régaler de bonnes fondues et de bons chocolats, se balader dans ses parcs bien entretenus ou encore faire du shopping de luxe. A partir de la gare, beaucoup de stations de ski sont accessibles pour les passionnés de sport d'hiver. Lyon n'est qu'à 1h50 de train et Paris 3h en TGV!

Our flat is located on the top of an old building where happy students live in big shared flats (below us), 2 min away from Geneva's central station (and its public transportation). The street where the building is is an animated one with many restaurants. The lake is 4 min away by feet and on sunny days, you can see behind the famous jet, the Mont Blanc's snowy pike. Geneva is a lovely city, of human size yet international and where you can eat delicious cheese fondues and chocolate, walk through the many nice parks or do some high-quality shopping. At the trainstation, one can reach many ski resorts; Lyon is only 1h50 away from geneva, and Paris, 3h with the TGV!
