Lovely family chalet at the foot of Jura, 20 mins from Geneva

Our lovely chalet in the village of Chserex/Gingins at the foot of the Jura mountains is perfect for a family get away in summer or winter. 20 mins from Geneva/Geneva airport, great for exploring Geneva lake region as well as making the most of the ski resorts nearby. The village of Cheserex is a picturesque little village with lovely restaurants, parks and stunning fields and woodlands. We are on route de la Florettaz, just at the foot of the Jura mountains and the woods, with lovely paths for walks and cycling that people from all over the region flock to. The air and the silence, mixed with the sound of the stream nearby, the cowbells ringing from time to time, as well as the horses passing by, are all part of the experience!

The house is a typical swiss chalet but completely renovated inside. There is a main bedroom with a queen sized bed, a child's room with two children's beds and a guest room with a sofa bed that becomes a double bed. If need be, the main sofa in the living room is large enough to accommodate the 5th adult! The house comes with a huge garden with lots to do for the kids (great for parents who want to be left in peace while they lounge in the garden with kids playing) including swings, a slide, a trampoline and a Big Boy hammock. There are many ski resorts which are great for skiing, snowboarding and sledging just nearby- St Cergue, Crozet are really close, and great for families with children, but for serious skiers, there are LOTS of other ski resorts within an hour to 1.5 hours from our place including Chamonix and Megeve.

Aside from all the woodlands and the fabulous paths for walks near the house, there is a brand new public swimming pool (very clean, never crowded... Very swiss!) just a few mins walk away. There is also a lovely children's park in the village.

This is our main residence, so the swap would have to be either simultaneous or when we are away. Now that our older one has started school, we are bound by the school holidays (joys of parenthood!). However we also have a second home, a studio flat directly on the seafront in Nice (villeveuve-Loubet, which is in between Nice and Antibes) which is available most of the year except for the summer months (please see the other listing).
