Notre maison
While we are on vacation our newly built flat in one of the most vibrant pats of Bern is available for swapping.
The complex was finished in autumn 2019 and is low energy standard home controlled all through a tablet. We have 3 bedrooms - one is a kids room, one has a quite comfortable sleeping couch, one is the master bedroom - a large open plan living room and an open kitchen. Add to that two large balconies/loggias and two bathrooms.
As we only moved in in October 2019 we are not finished with furnishing yet ;-), but we will update the pictures according to progress.
Every other week we have a cleaning lady. Washing machine and dryer are to share with the other residents. Outside there will be a playground (they are building it now) and some common area to spend time.
We are close to every thing of daily needs: 3 walking minutes to the next bus stop, bus takes around 8 minutes to Bern central station. 7 walking minutes to the next supermarket, 5 walking minutes to a lovely outdoor pool (for free!), 15 minutes to the river Aare, 15 minutes to other shopping, dining and drinking opportunities in our neighborhood.
For children there are plenty of playgrounds around. If needed we can discuss a car sharing (we own a Citroën C4 Grand Picasso) and the use of our bikes and chariot to get around in Bern.

We are a chilean-swiss-german family, living in Bern. Maxím was born in 2016 and Ava followed in 2018. We speak German, Spanish (po!), English, a little Italian and a little French.

Tom works at the Chilean Embassy as he is born and raised in the beautiful south of Chile. He came to his grandfathers home country at the age of 20.
Inga was born and raised in Bremen, Germany and works as a psychiatrist. She came to Switzerland in 2013 to work and found love and home. -
Our hide away is designed to suit the needs of families with babies and toddlers and might therefore not always be immaculate, but always filled with love and passion.

A very Family friendly and more alternative neighbourhood with plenty of playgrounds, small cafes, shops and just the usual Bernese life. Nothing is really far away in Bern, so you can easily get everywhere by using public transport or take a walk along the river to reach the city center with the main tourist attractions such as Bärengraben, Zytglogge, Bundeshaus, Münster/Altstadt and Rosengarten. Walk through the the main street of Breitenrain and you will get to tram line 9 which brings you directly to Gurtenbahn for one of the best views of the city and the Bernese Alps.
