Top, 3rd floor walk-up condo-1200 sq. ft. 25 foot long balcony with breathtaking ocean/beach views perched from close to 100 feet above on the edge of a rock cliff. Gated, 42-unit, clean, manicured complex. Watch sun rise and set, on water, or humpback whales during migration commonly seen breaching, from unit.

Central air conditioning--you may prefer sleeping to cool, quiet ocean breezes and soothing, rolling waves. Palm trees, and mangroves galore. A bird watcher's delight. Red tail hawks, Ospreys, Egrets, Frigates, all flying at eye level and in mini rain forest below.

The unit overlooks popularly known, Mar Chiquita (small sea) Beach, a half-moon shaped, rock protected lagoon perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or body boarding. Take a short walk (less than 2 minutes) to beach from unit on secluded path seen from unit. Separate beach shower along the way. Los Tubos (the tubes) surfing beach can be seen in the distance to the East. High power binoculars and telescope available.

Condo is clean, well equipped. Two side by side vehicle parking spaces very close. New 4wd 7-passenger available. Shared pool also overlooks ocean. Cozy hammock and convenient electric grill on balcony. Wireless (secure) high-speed internet, Cable TV, full stereo, surround, large flat screens in both living room and master bed. Full private bath in master. Sliders in master. Two smaller beds share 2nd full bath.

Full size weighted electric piano available. Several guitars handy, if so inclined. Full, new laundry. Full Kitchen, new appliances.

This unit and premises are pro-actively maintained. There are no critters or bugs and even mosquitoes are rare with ocean breezes knocking them down.


Mar Chiquita Condominiums is a 42 unit, gated (remote), professionally administrated complex located in Manati, Puerto Rico. The grounds are well maintained and safe.

There are several paved country roads to choose for easy access to the [east/west] Highway (Rt. 22) or commercial, secondary Rt. 2, approx. 10 minutes away, driving. Modern hospital and emergency room also nearby.

Police are nearby and tourist friendly--yet strict on highway law enforcement. Drive the limit. Tourism is the main industry in PR. Although the crime rate in PR rivals mainland tourist and metro areas, tourists are statistically very safe here. In any case, standard precautions are the norm.

Manati is located directly north and central on the Island. The City of San Juan is located approx. 45 minutes drive to the east.
Manati is a center for large American Pharmaceutical complexes and local Pineapple farming. Dairy farms, and horses are a common sight. The central location makes it convenient for exploring other surrounding Island spots and the major route south (rt. 10) is also relatively close by. Arecibo, home of the Worlds largest single radio telescope is a 20 minute drive west.

Manati is host to one of Puerto Rico’s six AAA baseball teams, the Manati Athenians, owned by NY Mets’ second-baseman, Tony Valentin, who plays regularly along with many other popular Winter-league, Caribbean series players. The ball park is 15 minutes away.

This home is well suited for either a unique, quiet vacation in a distinct cultural setting or a convenient stay for someone with family or business ties to the Island. Spanish is heard primarily, however, many locals eagerly accommodate English.

Retired age 40/50 children one girl 17, family oriented. Clean, handy, reliable, trustworthy. Fun loving. Safety conscious. Family speaks English and Spanish.
