Notre maison

Classic 1905 townhouse in the international city of The Hague, renovated for our family of six.

Our home is uniquely located close to the beach, dunes, parks, museums, theatres and shops. The wonderful area of the ‘Statenkwartier’ is great to explore by foot, bike or tram. The city centre is a short tram ride away.

A recent renovation offers our home a modern open kitchen and dinning room for our family of six and blends in seamlessly with traditional features such as high decorative ceilings, marble hall, fireplaces and parquet floors.

Bikes, surfboards, skateboards and steps are available.

Apprenez plus sur nous-mêmes

  1. We're a family of six; mum, dad and four girls aged between 10-15.

  2. Mum is English and works in IT and Business English coaching. Dad also works in IT and is Dutch.

  3. We love places that combine city-life with nature and space. Quirky cafes and streets always draw us in, next to spaces where we can walk, bike or do watersports.

Where is it?

Votre Quartier

The Statenkwartier is a very popular area for Dutch and Expat families. Built between 1890 and 1915, a lot of the streets have their own unique finish to the wonderful Art Nouveau style architecture. The fabulous high street, Frederik Hendriklaan, known locally as “The Fred” offers a great selection of grocery shopping to relaxing cafes and lunch rooms. There's a super play area too for younger children and a benches to allow tired parents to relax and re-charge.
The beach and harbour is also walking distance away, again offering a lovely space to walk and take-in the marina or another fantastic selection of cafes and restaurants.

From Wox, Asian fusion, exquisite though pricey to Vincenzo’s, delicious and authentic pizza.
Milu, international bar and restaurant.
Meneer Chocola
Shopping in the city centre to the quirky Piet Heinstraat.
International Peace Palace, Mauritshuis (home to the Best of Dutch painting from the Golden Age)
Westbroekpark; open green space or the rose garden.
Cycling or walking through the city or coastal dunes.
