Our apartment in Amsterdam is located on the third floor of a building from 1905 that has recently been renovated. The apartment offers a beautiful, open view from the living room and study on the water of the Jacob van Lennep canal and the sky above. The study and living room can be separated from each other by our Japanese room dividers. From the bedroom and the kitchen, doors open up to a spacious, sunny, south-east facing balcony. The Jacob van Lennepkade is located in the neigborhood 'Oud West' (Old West), which is a quiet area but still very close to the city centre (20 min. walk), Vondelpark (10 min. walk) and the museum square (10 min. by bike), which features the Van Gogh museum, Concertgebouw and the recently re-opened Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk museum. Supermarkets and other shops you may need are within 2 blocks walking distance from the apartment, as are nice cafes and restaurants.

The apartment was really nice, fully equipped, well decorated, clean, luminous and confortable. The area is close to central Amsterdam, but quiet and not busy, so It didn’t feel crazy touristy.
