Notre maison

I love my studio. It was renovated in 2008 and I have since then been living here. I love the big windows and the sunlight, the spacious bathroom, my bookshelves and the king size bed. It's only a 1 minute walk from Westerpark - for running and leisure and dancing. Only a 1 minute walk from the Haarlemmerdijk (the voted best small 'local' shopping of Amsterdam) and the Jordaan. 7 minute bike ride to the Central Station, public transport in all directions super close by. Supermarkets, café's and everything around the corner, but the street itself is quiet and relaxed.

Everything – from groceries to coffeeshops to gyms to public transport and friendly people – around the corner :)

I am a writer of philosophy, fiction and non-fiction books, theatre, performance and essays.
I have a studio house in Amsterdam, but have lived (as an American-Dutch citizen) quite some time in Brooklyn, NYC and love to be back 'home'.
As I can think & write where ever I have my laptop, I like being on the road as much as possible. Also available for long time swaps.
