If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay with your family or friends in the middle of a quiet, non-touristic area of Amsterdam, I am happy to introduce my house to you.
The address is: Fritz Conijnstraat 47, 1063CB Amsterdam.
It is an one floor appartment (80 m2) on the ground floor. The house consists of a living room with fully equipped, recently renovated kitchen, two bedrooms, laundry room, a bathroom with a toilet, a sink and a shower and one extra seperate toilet next to the second bedroom. Our house is clean and well-furnished including good equipment.
Our internet suplier is Ziggo, a verry reliable and stable provider. The speed is max 40mb/s and the wifi router is 802.11 AC (5GHz).
TV and audio: You can bring your own usb stick or plug in your laptop (HDMI cable is provided for) or play a cd/dvd-disc on the SONY Bravia 46 inch TV.
There are also plenty tv channels to choose from. Off course all the main Dutch channels (plenty of them in English with Dutch subtitles) but also CNN, Discovery, BBC, French, German etc. The sound is in full Dolby surround.
Location, transport, food, drinks
It is located only 7 min. walking distance from Sloterdijk Station where you can take a direct train to the airport (+10min), downtown Central Station (+5min) or the beach @ Zandvoort (+26min, the train stops 50 meters from the beach).
From Sloterdijk Station there is also a tram (#12) witch takes you thru the city (Vondel park, Museum Square, Albert Kuyp market, Amstel station), a metro witch will take you around the city or plenty of busses to go and explore the countryside.
You can have some fresh baked bread, french fries or a croissant at the small supermarket “Albert Heijn to go” or for your bigger groceries you can go to the supermarkt “Spar” (both located at Sloterdijk Station).
You’ll also find some nice café’s and restaurants around Sloterdijk station: Wissenkerke, Grand Café Hermes and BRET.
A bit closer to home at only one minute walking distance, you can also find some nice food: when you go out the door and turn to your left, you follow te Johannes Meewisstraat and at the end on your right hand side you’ll find a good Chinees restaurant and a pizzeria (both sitdown and take away).
