Notre maison
My central apartment is located on the ground floor of a traditional brick building from 1905 in a charming and lush Amsterdam street. The 60 m2 house is very light, well equipped and renovated with original elements as the traditional marble mantel pieces maintained in the bedroom and living room.
The open kitchen connects the spacious living room and dining area with a big and tranquil graden. Very unique in Amsterdam! Also a romantic porch lines the back of the house where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a dinner for two.
There's a modern bathroom with walk-in rainshower and washing machine and dryer and a separate toilet with custom designed wallpaper illustrating a map of Amsterdam (you won't get lost...). Also here traditional elements of the house have been maintained and re-used after the renovation.
The area has the best of both worlds: lush, charming and quiet with plenty of restaurants, shops, supermarkets and parks around the corner and only minutes away from the bustling touristic center by bike and tram. Only 50 meters from the house is a wonderful traditional Amsterdam canal ideal for late night strolls and 100 m away you will find Park Frankendael, a former aristocrat family estate that has been transformed into a public park with monthly biological market and Michelin star rewarded Restaurant De Kas.
If I'm around during non-sim swaps I'd love to take you on a nice boat tour with my boat through the canals of Amsterdam and tell you about the history and culture of the city (or show you where you can get a nice beer or wine...)!
