Notre maison

Our home in Amsterdam is very modern, spacious and light. From the huge living room (55m2) with windows fully covering one side of the living room from the floor up to the ceiling, you have a beautiful view overseeing water, a small boulevard and a park.
On the other side of the house there's a shopping mall with about 25 stores including two supermarkets. One is right across the street. Perfect for everyday groceries and a quick stop before you move on to the beach. :)
There is a balcony (25m2) attached to the living room and a big terras of 60m2.

There's a big modern kitchen with everything you need, such as an oven, steam oven, microwave, tepanyaki, grill, dishwasher, coffee machine with beans, etc. We also have a barbecue you can use on one of our beautiful balconies.

We have 3 bedrooms, 2 of them will be available for use. 1 of then we use as an office and will be locked off. We have one big bed (2 pers.) in the upstairs bedroom and one bed in the downstairs bedroom (also 2 pers., but a little smaller then the big one upstairs. I think it's a normal sized 2 pers.bed).

Location
- Ijburg, a green, sociable and child-friendly neighborhood,
- near the beach 'Blijburg',
- near a park, 'Diemerpark'
- supermarket right across the street
- a bus stop and tram right across the street, 1-minute walk. With the tram you're in the city center in 13 minutes and there's a tram leaving every 6 minutes.

Any questions? Please don't hesitate to ask! :) I will upload pictures soon.

We are looking for a house swap where we can stay for about 2 - 3 week somewhere in-between 15 July - 13 August. We're still flexible with our planning.

- About Amsterdam
With more than 800 years of history to discover, Amsterdam is a city that's rich in visitor sights. From ancient churches to magnificent museums, secret courtyards to quaint cobbled streets, and, of course, the city's world-famous canal houses, waterways and bridges, there's an overwhelming amount of things to see and do in Amsterdam. So pack your camera, pick up a map and get ready for an adventure!

Art, culture and adventures in Amsterdam
From the Old Masters at the Rijksmuseum through the intense and beautiful expressionist paintings of Van Gogh at the eponymous museum to modern and contemporary art and design at the Stedelijk, Amsterdam’s world-class art museums have enough to offer to fill weeks. But Amsterdam is home to plenty of other museums, too: the famous Anne Frank House and the Rembrandt House, for example, and the striking, modern building housing the EYE Filmmuseum. And there is so much more to do yet! Soak up the city’s combination of fascinating history and trendy hotspots by wandering around the canals and the River Amstel (make sure not to miss the famous ‘skinny bridge’ to the east of the centre), the Jordaan and the 9 Straatjes, or get active: jump on a bike in summer or go ice-skating in winter.

Dutch essentials
Of course, a visit to Amsterdam is not complete without the classics: Tulips, windmills and cheese! If you are in the Netherlands in the spring, a trip to the flower strip and the Keukenhof and its breath-taking tulip displays comes highly recommended. If you would like to check out more of the nature surrounding Amsterdam, take a look at the Amsterdam area section. After all this ethereal beauty, Amsterdam’s culinary delights must not be forgotten, either. How about sampling some of the famous Dutch cheese or visiting a cheese market? After that, you might be ready for a tour of the Netherlands most famous brewery: Heineken. And if you fancy another drink, you could visit the Brouwerij ’t IJ: a brewery located in a windmill. Now that’s what we call multitasking when sightseeing!
