“We could not have had a better stay in Amsterdam! The location of the typical house is perfect - close to wonderful Vondelpark and only 10 min walk to Rijksmusem, still very quiet, safe and calm. For the whole stay, we never used trams since everything is within 30 min walking distance. Marlou’s house is very personally decorated with all the conveniences you need - even a wooden bench outside in the street (perfect for a glass of wine in the evening sun). We communicated via whatsapp - superquick and easy - and we also got some tips on what to see and restaurants to visit. All in all, I would highly recommend Marlou’s house if you plan to visit Amsterdam.”

“We stayed at this lovely house in Amsterdam in July 2019 and found everything as we had expected. It's location is great. Easy walking to the museum area. The house is on 4 levels with step stairs but that is the way most houses are there. We had no problems going up and down. Clean and tidy and had a lovely outside courtyard. Marlou was very helpful and friendly. ”

“I was unfortately forced to stay in Rome during this planned weekend, my friends that moved in Marlou's apartment spent great time and the property is real spacoius and it has great location. The morlou's son met them for check in procedure and he was friendly and accomodating person. I hope to have chance to come next time in this comfortable apartment.”

“This was our first LHS experience and we could not be more lucky. Marlou and Frank s house is a gem in the city : central , elegant, private, in a very tranquil and leafy neighbourhood . You walk or bicycle everywhere from here and everything is so close! The beds are very very confortable and the kitchen with its outside garden area is very special . The large living area with its high ceiling make this home unique But most of everything we loved the company, enthusiam and love for the city that Marlou and Frank shared with us with immense generosity. We could not have a better host and we felt in love for this amazing city. We hope to be back soon and of course we hope to have Marlou and Frank visiting us in Cape Town ( another magic place to be ....)”

“This was already my second visit to Marlou's house and it was of course even easier to arrange details. Marlou is a wonderful host, very organized and welcoming and the house is fabulous. Very well located so you can visit the city any which way you want. This time we had to take the tram system because one of my friends was not walking very well. So from the house it is only a few minutes to the tram stops and you can go anywhere in the city. The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen are all very comfortable and Marlou has made a great guide for the house and its appliances. Afterwards I used their bike (really great in Amsterdam if you know the way) and even car to get around. They ofcourse had the same deal in Arcachon with bikes and car. A wonderful exchange and certainly a recommendation for anyone who wishes to visit Amsterdam.”

“One of my favourite visits to Amsterdam! The location, whilst not right in the centre is superb and minutes away from the Museumplein and the lovely Vondel Park. Access to everywhere is simple, public transport in Amsterdam is well planned and constant. Great restaurants in the immediate vicinity and away from the tourist crowds in the centre. Marlou and Franks house is spacious and light and has lovely street views of a typical Amsterdam street. Everything you need! I had the pleasure of meeting both Frank and Marlou and they were lovely and kind hosts! Thank you!”

“Marlou has a very nice typical historic Dutch house next to Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam. All main Tram lines and busses coming next by - including direct bus from / to the airport. The house is 4 floors built with a great terrace, and with all the needed equipment for a great stay. It is a classic place for settle down couples who come to the city. In any problem her son David will be there for you. The communication was great as well, and the same time we kept her house, she stayed in ours in tel aviv and was a great guest as well - clean and trustble. ”
