Notre maison

Our house is spacious and clean (cleaning service available). It is decorated in a contemporary style, with neutral/warm colors and comfortable furniture.
Since the house is build in split-levels, it is necessary to climb some stairs.

Apprenez plus sur nous-mêmes

  1. I am a retired General Manager of an International company, originally from Holland.
Together with my Chinese wife, we are enjoying our freedom to do what we want.
We have one daughter who is a student; if she can, she will travel with us, but if she does not have time, she stays at home or with her grandparents.
I have family in Holland, Italy, California and on Hawaii and we love to visit them regularly.

Where is it?

Votre Quartier

The compound is new (2005-2006)and is a complex of town houses and villa's, build around a lake.
There are plenty of public gardens between the houses, with fish ponds and terraces to sit.
Part of the compound are tennis courts (in-and outside), swimming pools, (in- and outside)and a shopping street with a supermarket, coffee-corner, ATM, and small, modern shops.
To down-town it takes 20 min. by car or taxi($3), but there are other modern shopping malls on 10 minutes distance.
Chongqing is a fascinating and exiting city; a mix of very modern and traditional. The city is rather compact with many sky-scrapers, but there are also many parks and mountains. Bicycles are not used a lot, since many streets are too steep. Quite different from Beijing or Shanghai, also the costs (cheaper).
For more info, see:

Chongqing is also the starting point for many mini-cruises to the Three Gorges and the famous Dam.
Dining out is great, with many good restaurants (Chinese and also Western). A special treat is the hot and spicy local food.
One should try the open-air restaurants by night on Nan Ping Lu, the boulevard looking out on the city in its spotlights.
It is very easy to make many interesting trips in the surroundings (Dazu Stone Carvings, Wansheng Stone Forest, etc.) Just call my friend Jimmy, and he will take care of everything.
However a car is available, you need a Chinese driving license (international license not valid in China).
