OUR STORY:Last summer, we gutted our complete apartment and started from scratch. We called one of the most forward thinking interior design firms in Montreal (La Firme- http://lafirme.ca/). Together, we came up with a design for the apartment that is urban, but filled with natural materials that were locally sourced and that bring back a sense of nature into this urban home. We added several little touches that make our place unique! Our stone front home has a wonderful little garden, a modern kitchen that is filled with all the appliances you'd want, an adorable bathroom (with heated floors), a large closet in the master bedroom and rustic Quebec maple floors. Our bookshelves in the living room are made out of rustic wood that were the 100 year old supporting beams of the back bedroom before we changed them! We have added small details in the home as a reminder of the unique the heritage of the area. We also own a cottage that is very modern and bright in the Laurentians (with private beach access) that is available for you during your entire visit.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD: This is "the" trendy neighborhood of Montreal and our apartment is a wonderful place to sit back and relax. If you want to get a feel for the easy-going and artistic nature of Montrealers, this is the neighborhood! Our 100 year old, stone front home is adorned with a "plateau-typical" turquoise colored door. Although the outside is classic, the interiors are modern and renovated. Very clean and tidy, as well as tastefully decorated. Although extremely central, this apartment is quiet. Perfect for couples and families.
Perfect location- There is no other location that could be more central!
-Mont-Royal metro is a block away, as well as the grocery store, liquor store and dry cleaner
-Great shopping and restaurants (and many wonderful bakeries- Petits Gateaux cupcake shop on our block!)
-Numerous bars nearby for every style (jazz, microbrewery, cocktails, live shows)
-10 min walk to trendy shops and restaurants on St-Laurent, Mile End and St-Denis
-Between Parc Lafontaine and Parc Mont-Royal
-We love eating, so you can be sure that we have plenty of restaurants to recommend right outside our door.
We rent our apartment on Air Bnb and this is what some of our guests had to say about their experience:
"I highly recommend the apartment for any kind of traveler, even those traveling with children. Our trip to Montreal was quite enjoyable, mainly thanks to the location, comfort and hospitality of Andreas and Isabella. Their apartment was roomy and pleasant. It felt like home. It was spacious, we were able to invite our friends who live in the city over for dinner. Even though so close to the main street with all the shops and restaurants, the apartment was quiet and we all slept well; even our 2 year old. Isabella and Andreas were kind and provided assistance with finding activities. They were truly concerned about ensuring we had a positive experience in their place...which we did! "

"Andreas and Isabella were warm, incredible hosts-- they took the time to give us great local recommendations, communicated promptly and clearly about all the logistics, and were always ready to answer any of our questions. The apartment was beautiful, spacious, clean, and in just the perfect location, with everything at our doorstep. We had such a wonderful stay-- we felt right at home and really well cared for. Cannot review this apartment highly enough!"
