My home is about a 2 minute drive to the worlds largest mall, West Edmonton Mall. Edmonton is famous for West Edmonton Mall which has a man made lagoon, Water park, indoor olympic ice rink, amusement park, roller coasters, mini golf, casino, sea lions, marine life, sharks, penguins as well as shopping stores galore.
Edmonton is also 5 hour drive to Jasper National Park and the rocky mountains. 3 hours to Calgary and 4 hours to Banff National Park. There are bus tours to the mountains and they are great places for skiing as well as sightseeing You are likely to see mountain goats, elk, deer and possibly even a grizzly bear.
Edmonton also offers historical Whyte avenue complete with chic stores and dining with unique architecture. Check out the Space and Sciences Center and Farmers Market on the weekends. We also have Fort Edmonton, for a look into the past and the days of the fur trade.
