Beautifully remodeled single family detached home close to Vancouver by car or transit/skytrain, but on a greenbelt in a quiet, upscale neighborhood with wildlife of Burn’s Bog at your backdoor.
4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with showers, 1 tub. Upstairs large dining room & L shaped living room with sliding glass door leading onto sundeck facing forest. We have good neighbors, but can’t see or hear them, nor they us.
A fusion of antique and Oak furnishings complements the hardwood floors and brick fireplace, & modern conveniences include a computer with high speed cable connection, a DVD player and stereo system.
The modern kitchen has the usual appliances including dishwasher, there is a laundry room downstairs and the back deck sports a BBQ and picnic table.
Although located in a quiet neighborhood, there is an excellent variety of shopping, restaurants, theatres, pubs and Supermarkets about 5 minutes away. An aquatic center with 5 pools and fitness gym is about a mile.
Golf courses are minutes away, beaches of Whiterock and Crescent beach about 20 minutes, the US border about 25 minutes by car. Vancouver International Airport is 25 minutes and Bellingham Airport is about 40 miles.
Ski slopes of Grouse or Seymour Mountain are one hour by car.
For Whistler, allow 2 1/2 hours by car, or one hour to the train station in N. Vancouver.
We are flexible as to destinations.
NYC & Paris, Rio de Janeiro and Poland are places we definitely are going to visit, but are open to other locales.
We are also flexible as to accommodation and can offer use of our 88 ft. schooner, which sleeps up to 16 persons in 8 private cabins, or our home which can sleep 8.
Russ is a licenced captain and marine engineer and Mary Ann is CFO for a retail chain. He has more free time, so travels with one of his brothers, a retired bank manager on some trips (if there is sun & sea or fishing involved).
Locale is most important, but accommodation may be of any reasonable variety including houses, townhouses, flats, cabins, cottages, yurts, boats, hotels, B&Bs...
We can swap for hosted or unhosted stays in some instances.
We like our little wildlife neighbors, so sorry, no pets.
