Our apartment is a penthouse with three storeys (240m2). On the top floor we have a terrace and a small pool with a very nice view of the mountains and the Christ, the middle floor has a living room and dining area, kitchen, laundry and office. The third floor has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We have cable with international channels (English). The main bedroom has a nice bath tub with a view to the mountains and a double bed, the second is my son's room and has one double Queen size bed. My daughter's room has 3 single beds. The kid rooms are full of toys, games, etc. The apartment is child proofed, with protection nets in every window. We have Wi-Fi Internet Connection and an office with a computer available for guest to use. We also have air conditioning in every single room. Our apartment is very easy to clean and maintain (ideal for vacation). Kitchen is fully equipped. We can accomodate comfortably 7 people, but there is a nice extra bed on the maid´s room that can be used also. There is sauna, a private playground for kids and a larger swiming pool in the building, and also a small health club.

We are a family of four. My husband and I are in our late forties, José is a TV Sports Journalist and I work as a Translator. We have two children, 19 old boy and 12 year old girl. We love Arts, Sports and Cultural and Outdoor/Nature Activities in general. So we are open both to big cities and nature spots.
We have done several exchanges over the last 8 years and all have been great experiences.
My husband and I always loved travelling and now we enjoy it even more with our kids and we appreciate the homey feeling and cultural experience that a home exchange can offer.
We are in a very central location in Rio. Basically every tourist attraction is within 10 minutes from our apartment. Looking towards the end of our street you will see the Sugar Loaf. It is a quiet residential area, the apartment complex is very safe, we have two 24X7 onsite concierge. The area is central, but surrounded by a nice green mountain (no shantytowns around). It is easily located both to the beach (one metro stations to Copacabana and three to Ipanema) and to the night life and musical scene of Rio (Lapa). The subway is two blocks from our street; there are bakeries, pharmacies, supermarkets, restaurants and a large shopping mall within a couple of blocks.
