Notre maison

Our apartment is one block from the beach. It has a spacious bedroom with abundant closet space, a living room with hardwood floors, a separate sitting area near the window, a nice functional kitchen, and air conditioning. There are sofa-beds in the living room, and great art on the walls. It is a second home and is open to exchange any time of the year. People from around the world have enjoyed staying at our apartment. There are elevators and stairs. A 24 hour doorman is always at the lobby entrance. Our guests and family have always had safe and happy stays. The building is residential. We are looking specially for a Stay in London From August 6 to 13, 2008. Our apartment will be available for flexible dates and duration.

We live in Tucson, Arizona, USA. Fred is a self-employed engineer doing medical-optical product design. Helena, a Rio native, does bookkeeping and cares for Nicholas(5) and Isabella(8); two well behaved children. Helena's brother owns a computer shop in nearby Ipanema, and his wife helps administer the apartment. Our family has traveled to China, Tibet, Brazil and twice to Europe on exchanges. We are interested in art, dance, sustainable living, gardening and alternate energy. We are a clean and will take good care of your home.

Rio is famous for its landscape, beach culture and carnival. Rio offers natural beauty, history, and the contagious fun of its people. New Years Eve and Carnaval are special times. The period between Christmas and Carnival is festive. However, the city and it's people are vibrant and alive all year. Rio's beaches are enjoyed year round due to its latitude. The forest between city and beaches provides geographical beauty. Thereâs always something new in Rio: art exhibitions, dance, concerts and events.
To explore further, catch a taxi, bus or subway. Rio has great transportation. To do: modern art museums, Tijuca Forest, historical churches, mountain climbing, hike sugar loaf, hang-gliding and fishing. Enjoy the people; they are friendly. Most visitors make new friends.
The apartment is in a great area of Copacabana. Everything is walking distance: many wonderful restaurants, cafés, fresh juice stands, supermarkets, laundry services, movie theater, internet access, shopping areas, nightclubs and more. The sandy beach is 150m (500feet) walking from our building's entrance.
In Copacabana, our apartment is on the beach side of Rua Domingos Ferreira, near the intersection of Rua Bolivar.
