Notre maison
Situated on the Atlantic Ocean with sandy beach and fabulous breezes, our second home, built in 1991, is very private within its own compound walls. We own a total of 180' on the ocean and the house is centered in our half acre of land. Tiled floors and Brasilian wood throughout. Every room has a ceiling fan. Living and dining areas and all bedrooms have oceanviews. On the first floor is the kitchen, living room and dining area, in addition to two bedrooms, a bath and office.
The upstairs master bedroom has it's own balcony and private bathroom. There's also a fourth bedroom with bath on second floor. All bedrooms have new double beds.
In the courtyard where the pool is located there is an covered grilling area great for entertaining. We have outdoor tables and chairs to accommodate 8-10 people. There's a bathroom next to the pool.

We are U.S. citizens who live in the Florida Keys and have a second home in Brasil which we are willing to trade. My husband, Fred, 64, is a retired school administrator with a doctorate in Education and now works with me in my real estate company. I'm (Diane)56, a college graduate, who has either managed or owned a real estate company for 35 years.
We have traveled to many parts of Brasil (which is the 5th largest country in the world) by plane and car. It's a fascinating land.
We call our home on the beach...Sonhos do Mar which in Portuguese means, Sea Dreams.

Enjoy the calm serenity of the areas numerous lakes, the grand beauty of it's miles of open ocean beaches or trek into the nearby mountains to spend the day lounging in the natural pools of the local water falls and exploring the miles or trails.
Within 2 hours is Buzios, the quaint seaside town made famous by Bridget Bardot who visited there in the 70's to escape her fans.
For those who like peaceful surroundings, our beach home at Guaratiba which is located just 10 minutes from the town of Marica, is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Within walking or a short drive, there are small cafes, grocery stores, a fresh vegetable market and bakery.
