Notre maison
Large, open, spacious, split level, modern organic home on small river situated in a private gated community. This home is truly a work of art and is located 200 meters from 7 kilometers of private coconut grove lined beach. Large open kitchen opening to eating area on deck overlooking a private pool, canal, and many tropical trees and plants. By the way there is a recently rebuilt 6' yamaha grand piano in the 700sg ft. living room. There are 3 bedrooms, all with individual bathrooms, a separate television room and two large decks one extending from the kitchen and another extending over the canal. There are also two 'atelies' or offices with air conditioning and great views of nature.

I'm a Californian that has been living in Brazil for 25 years and have been married for most of that time to my brazilian wife from Bahia. I'm originally a musician, jazz, rock and folk. I have a degree from the Berklee School of Music in Boston and used to play rock and roll in the bay area in the early 80's. I moved to Brazil, got married, calmed down quite a bit and the product of our marriage is two boys, one 17 the other 20. The older one is presently studying in San Francisco. We would love to spend some time getting acquainted with San Francisco. I have some very good friends who live in the bay area if references would be helpful. I just recently spent a few weeks in the area and was enchanted with the ethnic mix, especially how it affects the food. We love good food and good wine.

If it sounds like paradise it's because it is.To get a better idea of where our house is located just go to google earth and go to 'busca vida', google will take you directly above the small bay in front of our community. We are located 15 minutes north of the the international airport in Salvador Bahia. The beach and nature are the strong points and the culture of Salvador is about a half hour drive away. Two very nice golf courses are within an hours drive and you are close to supermarkets and restaurants. Within our gated community, of aprox.150 houses, we also have three tennis courts, a squash court, sauna, a small gym, a very well groomed grass soccer field and a hotel with restaurant and snack bar on the beach. Our beach has very good surf, including an international surf school, and is one of the most popular places for the practice of kite-surf in the area.
