Notre maison passive unifamiliale en bois massif de 130m² située à Berchem-Sainte-Agathe (une des 19 communes de la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale, offrant la tranquillité au coeur de la ville) vous accueille avec tout le confort nécessaire pour rendre votre séjour agréable (internet haut débit, grand écran, cuisine super-équipée, séjour lumineux, car-port..) Les enfants sportifs sont au paradis (mur d'escalade, balançoire, préau pour jeux de ballon, family room/ salle de jeu, sac de boxe, fléchettes..) Notre terrasse plein sud de 25m2 surplombant les toits de Bruxelles vous ravira..
Au coeur de Berchem-Sainte-Agathe (divers commerces et horeca, centres culturels francophones et néerlandophone, parcs publics..), à 25 min à pied du centre-ville et bien connecté aux transports publics vous pourrez vous rendre au centre et dans n'importe quelle ville de Belgique ou rejoindre les grandes capitales (Paris 1h20, Londres, Amsterdam..) grâce au TGV, Thalys ou Eurostar à 10'.
Nous avons une seconde maison sur la même parcelle que nous louons via une autre plate-forme en dehors de nos échanges de maison !

Your home away from home !
Our passive house made of plain wood is situated in the most rural place of Brussels. It is a small street meaning that children can play, cars drive slow and neighbors knows each other. The atmosphere is somehow like a small village. Our house has a light and open atmosphere due to the living place at the second floor with a large south terrace and it is a place childrens friendly. It counts about 135m2 and it's all new.
Groundfloor: There is a car-port which can also be a place for children playing (ball, swing..) and an inside technical local with washing machine that you can use. It's also the starting place for climbing wall (from groundfloor to 1.5 floor)
1st floor: At the first floor the big family room took place, which is also a playroom for children (ball, TV, boxing, darts, wifi..) Here are 2 bedrooms for children with 2 platforms for loftbeds and also 1 big master bedroom with 2 doors. Here's the bathroom with a large glass shower and 4 lavabos. Toilet is separated. There is plenty of children stuff that you can use.
2d floor: Here you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner and also have relax on the bright living room with couch, big television and wi-fi. It has a direct connection to the big sized south terrace where you can have your meals outside. Bright open kitchen is large and fully equipped (hoven, microwave, dishwasher..) with a wonderfull view on the roofs of Brussels
Several tram and bus stop is at the end of the street, and takes you to the city centre in 15 minutes where you can enjoy all the well-known attractions of Brussels.
In the direct vicinity there are some nice restaurants, some supermarkets and groceries, lot of parcs with lots of opportunities to wonder around, cycling, skating and also some nice culturals places..
We have a second house on the same plot that we rent via another platform outside our house exchanges !

It was a very nice house, with a lot of smart design items, in a quiet neighbourhood, a lovely village St Agaath Berchem, part of Brussels. Valérie is very conscious in waste separation and a be aware of agood environment. The living and terrace are great. To the city center it is easy to take a tram or bus. We loved the atmosphere of the neighbourhood with some nice Belgian restaurants! Defenitely recommend!””

“Maison très agréable, spacieuse et confortable. Livres, jeux, mur d'escalade, panier de basket, préau... tout est pensé pour qu'une famille se sente bien dans cette maison! Très bien localisée, la maison de Valérie et Sébastien offre en outre la possibilité de multiples destinations tant à Bruxelles que pour visiter la Belgique. La quiétude du quartier et le confort de la maison permettent de s'y sentir au repos facilement quand on veut récupérer des visites toutes plus riches les unes que les autres. “Superbe maison à la fois calme et lumineuse dans le quartier de Sainte Agathe, avec accès direct au centre de Bruxelles via le tram ! Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour. Nos deux enfants étaient particulièrement contents de pouvoir y trouver de multiples jeux (et de s'occuper de nourrir Foxy). Nous avons également eu la chance de rencontrer Valérie, Sébastien et leurs deux enfants le temps d'un dîner et de partager un très bon moment ! Nous vous recommandons vivement leur maison !!”
“We stayed at Valerie's and Sebastians modern equipped house. I didn't know anything about passif houses, but looked it up, while staying there. It was very comfortable, warm even in the sun. We had a perfect sunny weekend, to even enjoy the terrace in the winter. We met Valerie upon arrival and we felt very wellcome at their home. Our house and cats were at the meantime taken care of with good attention. Brussels is an interesting city; enough to see and do outside the city centre. We had some fun with the cat, who looked very independant. The area is very quiet, there are some cafes nearby and some shops, but it is all rather quiet. So, we can certainly recommend this nice home!”

“We enjoyed one fine easter week at Valéries house in a suburb of Brussel. All communication with her was easy and smooth, and our appointments about our exchange worked perfectly fine. The house is only few minutes away from the streetcar which brought us to the Metro and from there to all the interesting places in Brussel. The big kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, and we enjoyed very much the large windows and terrasse with a fine view over the roofs. Valéries home is also the right place if you like sporty challenges - with both a climbing wall inside the house and high platform beds in the children's rooms only to reach via a rope ladder!”
“It’s clear that this is an architect’s home. Such a special and lovely house with so many playful details. It has been great to stay here for a weekend although it was very hard to say goodbye to Foxy, the frolic housecat. We can strongly recommend staying at Valérie’s and Sébastiens home. Not only because Brussels is a great city and Berchem is a pleasantly quiet part of it, but also because everything fits: easy communication, good bed and perfectly taken care of our house in the meantime.”
“We\'ve exchanged with Valerie, Sebastien and their kids for 4 days in June 2017. The house is located outside of Brussels and since our exchange was so short we didn\'t see much of the immediate vicinity, concentrating our stay on Brussels and the Atomium. The house is very spacious, well equipped and definitely an experience. The kids loved the climbing wall (yes, it really works!) and all the games in the family room. We didn\'t have any experience regarding passive houses (our house is the total opposite ;-) ) but that was no problem at all. The cat was shy at first but trusted us after a while. Just be sure to get rid of all the tennis balls in the kitchen before going to bed ... or you\'ll regret it at 5 a.m. ;-). She\'s a very cute and playful little thing, easy to care for! Many thanks for the very nice exchange and the lovely contact before and throughout the stay. And for taking such good care of our home in return.”
“Bonjour, Nous avons passé un formidable week end dans la maison de Valérie et Sébastien ! Une magnifique maison d\'architecte en bois massif, au design étudié, spacieuse et confortable. Très calme de surcroît ! La maison est très bien équipée, et très bien exposée ! je suppose qu\'en hiver, il doit être très agréable de profiter d cela terrasse ! Nos hôtes avaient préparé la maison pour notre arrivée, tout comme si nous arrivions chez nos amis ! Ils ont laissé notre appartement parisien en parfait état, extrêmement propre et nous avons pu nous y ré-installer avec plaisir ! c\'est notre deuxième échange et cela nous incite à en faire plus ! Merci encore à Valérie et Sébastien pour nous avoir accueillis si chaleureusement...”
“Valerie and Sebastian have a fabulous house in Brussels. We visited in early November and it was super warm ! It is a very spacious and modern home with a lovely big dining table for family dinners on the top floor of the house. Our children fell in love with Foxy the resident cat. Valerie and I organised the exchange in just a few emails and phone calls. Brussels is a city that has plenty of interesting sights for children. The Atomium, Natural History Museum ( dinasaur bones ), Grand Place, Mannequin de Pis ( especially for little boys ) , Mini Europe. We would really recommend an exchange with Valerie and Sebastian.”

Sur place, on peut profiter du calme dans le beau bois aménagé, et on rejoint très facilement le centre de Bruxelles. 2 lignes de tram et une ligne d\'autobus nous y amènent en peu de temps. “Valerie and family have a stunning house in the suburbs of Brussels. For the children is a nice place, the terrace on the top has always sun when the sun shines just a bit, also in the evening it is very good being there outside. At the end of the street you just take the metro to the city, which is certainly worth visiting. On the other hand a short walk from the house you'll find a great forest with playground. Nous sommes une famille de 2 adultes et 2 enfants. Nous vivons en ville toute l'année mais aimons être dans la nature et faire du sport pendant nos loisirs et congés. Nous sommes un couple d'architecte et d'architecte d'intérieur. Notre aîné est né en 2004 et notre cadette en 2007. Nous avons 2 gentilles jeunes chattes qui resteront sur place pendant nos échanges. Nous avons déjà échangé de maison (et même d’auto) avec des familles aux Pays-Bas, à la côte d’Opale, à Paris, à Dublin et à Copenhague. Nous adorons ce type de voyage !

We're a 4 personn's family with 2 childrens. We live in town all year long and like to discover nature and practice sport during holidays and free time. We're architects. Our son born in 2004 and our daughter in 2007. We have 2 nice young cats who will stay on the spot during our exchanges. We have already exchanged house (and even car) with families in the Netherlands, the Opal Coast, Paris, Dublin and Copenhagen. We love this type of trip !

Située à Berchem-Sainte-Agathe (la plus rurale des 19 communes de la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale) notre maison vous offrira la tranquillité au coeur de la ville.
Bruxelles offre des visages multiples: coeur des institutions européennes, c’est par essence une des villes européennes les plus multiculturelles (le bilinguisme institutionnel est Français-Néerlandais mais de nombreuses autres langues telles l’anglais y sont parlées), sa gastromie compte de nombreux atouts (gaufres, frites, chocolat..). Bruxelles est très proche d’autres villes belges (telles Bruges, la Venise du Nord) ou d’autres capitales européennes (Paris 1h20, Londres, Amsterdam..) grâce au TGV, Thalys ou Eurostar à 10'.
Notre localisation permet tant l’accès direct au vieux Berchem, au Bois du Wilder, à son église désacralisée et à ses pôles culturels francophones et néerlandophones qu’à la place centrale de la commune avec des commerces variés très accessibles.
Sa bonne desserte en transports publics lui permet d’être bien connectée au centre-ville de Bruxelles.
Accès aisé au ring et aux autoroutes.

Our house is located in one of the 19 city halls of Brussels’s Région.
Brussels has lot of faces: earth of European authority and multicultural city (bilingualism FR-Nl is used but English and lot of other languages are also fully practiced..), it’s nearby lot of other towns in Belgium or in Europe (like Bruges the North Venezia)
Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, our city hall, is very quite and children friendly.
In Brussels you can taste several specialties like chocolate, waffles or fries
