Notre maison

The house is situated in the historic centre of Liege. Our house was renovated and decorated in a contemporary spirit. With a choice for fine materials: oak flooring, the conservation of period stone, steel railings... the house is composed in part of an 18th century building and a small stone 17th century house. On over 200 square metres you will find a family room, kitchen, veranda and living room on the main floor, an office, bedroom and bathroom on the 1st floor and a bathroom, master bedroom, terrace and small garden on the second floor. A laundry room can be found in the basement and soon, there will also be an infra-red sauna. The house offers all the comforts necessary to a couple or family vacation home: high speed internet, internet telephone, full HD and 3D television with Wii games, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, children's toys (5 till 12 years), generous collection of cookbooks, terrace with barbecue, etc.
We can also swap our car.

A few words about us: we are a married couple. My wife is 41 years old and a lawyer and I am 42 years old and a journalist. We have a wonderful 8 year old child. We love travelling, cooking, reading, music and the cinema. We love discovering new things, cultural and nature jaunts. We have previously participated in home exchanges and are open to all proposals.

Where is it?

The neighbourhood anchored in the Pierreuse district, one of the oldest and most typical of Liege. Our house is situated in a calm and warm neighbourhood yet it is located strategically near the city centre, tourism office, museums, shopping as well as the train and bus stations. The highway is 5 minutes away by car. If our guests stay in Liege for an extended period of time, they will be able to enjoy the surrounding areas: the Ardenne forests are 30 minutes by car, Brussels, Bruges, Anvers and the Belgian coast are only about 1 hour away. The Netherlands and Germany are also less than 30 minutes away by car. If they prefer travelling by train, Brussels or Cologne are an hour away, 2.5 hrs to Paris, a little more than 3 hrs to London, etc. Finally, thanks to the Charleroi airport (Brussels South) and Ryanair, most large European cities and Morocco are accessible for a few dozen Euros only per person.
