Notre maison

Our house was built by an American so it has all of the conveniences of home while staying in Europe!! We love to relax and enjoy ourselves at home, so our house is a destination in itself. The large "Game Room" has a bar, pull down movie screen with surround sound, a full size pool table, darts, Wii Fit/Sport as well as a fireplace and sliding glass doors to an outside bar, with hot tub and outdoor fireplace. There is also a well equipped exercise room with treadmill, recumbent bike, elliptical and weights.

My name is Kathleen. My husband Curtis & I are teachers. We are both American and we teach US and NATO military dependants. Our school is on a European calendar which gives us several weeks off throughout the year as well as six weeks in summer. We travel during most of our school breaks and return to the States for much of the summer to visit family and friends throughout the US. We would much prefer to live in a home or apartment while we travel as opposed to a hotel. We enjoy experiencing the local character and look forward to sharing that opportunity with you!

If you want to see Europe, this is the house for you! Our village is in a quiet area, near both towns and farms, yet close access to train and air travel for touring. Our nearby town of Mons has one of the most beautiful town squares ("The Grand Place") in Europe, with a beautiful cathedral, belfry, bars, restaurants and outdoor cafes for great people watching. We are close to the local train station and so we are just a few hours by train (or car) from Amsterdam, Paris, London, Luxembourg, Germany. It is the best central location in Europe!! If you prefer a quick flight, we are also just 30 minutes from a Ryan Air hub airport (Brussels South-Charleroi). Check out the Ryanair website; it is Europe's premier low cost airline which can bring you most anywhere in Europe and North Africa in a flash at bargain basement prices.
