We are temporarily living in this apartment in the city center of Ghent, in anticipation of our new home that is under construction.
The apartment is situated on the first floor of a small apartment building, located in a street around the corner of 'Oude Beestenmarkt'. No elevator present. The apartment is spacious with a bright and large living room including a big window facing the street. The kitchen is old but fully equipped (new oven and refrigerator). There is a small terrace. We have 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed (200 x 160) on the backside, with a window facing the terrace and one with a single bed (200 x 90 cm) and a toddler bed (140 x 70 cm) with a big window facing the street. There is a bathroom with 2 sinks, a bath and a shower. The bathroom is old but in good condition.

This makes their appartment perfect to explore both Ghent and the rest of the Belgium also. In addition, the appartment has wide windows which guarrantees great natural light inside, creating a relaxing atmosphere in the livingroom & kitchen. We would highligh recommend staying at their place. They have been really kind letting us stay. 100%advisable. ”

We're Thomas and Katrien, we have 2 boys of 6 and 3 years old.
Thomas works as an architect, Katrien works as artistic manager for a Private Art Foundation. We both also have been lecturers at the University in Ghent and Brussels for five years (bachelor years of architecture). Thomas gave drawing classes and Katrien worked with students around visual arts.
We love art in its broadest sense, sustainability, film, music,... Katrien loves cooking, reading, visiting exhibitions, writing and being a mom :) Thomas likes drawing and painting, studying old masters and reads a lot :) Our two boys go to Waldorf school in Ghent. We are currently working on our new home, a conversion of an old warehouse close to the city center. Meanwhile we are temporarily living in an old but big apartment in the city center of Ghent.
City Center of Ghent, close to ... everything actually ;) Swimming pool around the corner, restaurants, cafes, bars, the medieval city center at walking distance, next to the water,... perfect location
