Notre maison

We have just managed to juggle the children's various commitments and find one week when we can go away en-famille! Please contact us if you would like an exchange between 14 and 22 August. Thanks!
The house has been recently renovated but retains a traditional style. Unusally for Belgium it has a large kitchen, which gives out on to the garden. It is very spacious and comfortable to live in. As experienced exchangers we would leave everything ready for you to have a wonderful time in Brussels. Although the house sleeps 8 easily, you could squeeze in another one or two on the floor! We have 3 double beds, 1 single and two singles that can be separate or together (there is also another single bed in this room). There are 2 shower rooms and a bathroom and a separate WC. The family bathroom has a large spa-type bath (makes wonderful bubble-bath for kids!) We have a large living room and large separate dining room (both with wood-burning fires). The house has lots of stairs, so not suitable for disabled people or lively toddlers.

Tim is a lawyer working in the EU, Janet was a Citizens' Advice worker but gave up when Tim moved to Brussels 7 years ago. We have 3 children, none of whom now live at home full-time. However, we would like a one-week family holiday with them all. We have a very cute 14 year old cat (George) that we would like you to care for: we are happy to care for a pet/s. In addition we would be happy to do a car exchange. We have a Picassa that seats 5 and a C3 (which we are considering selling ... so don't count on it!) We are open to offers for weekend exchanges.

Located just a few steps from Montgomery metro station, we are in an excellent position for car-free travel around Brussels and its environs. We are also just a few minutes drive from the forest with wonderful walks, and close to Motorway links to the rest of the continent. We are 5 minutes walk from the Cinquantenaire museum and park complex, one of the attractions of Brussels. Eating out here is a joy, and the city is always alive (apart from Mondays!) with all sorts of activities happening. We also have good local shops and restaurants, and Brussels has the world's deepest pool for scuba diving! From Brussels there are good rail links to many European capitals for day or overnight trips. We love living here!
