Notre maison
Our house was build in 1995 in a village close to Mechelen, a city in between Brussels (capital of Europe) and Antwerp. The house is modern, has a large living room (TV, DVD, VCR, HiFi, high speed internet), fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, combined microwave/hot air oven and garage on the ground floor, 4 bedrooms and a bathroom on the 2nd floor. The garden has a lovely view over fields and a wood. 4 bicycles are available for touring the neighbourhood.

We are Patricia and Walter and we have 2 sons of 20 and 18 years old. Walter works for a US multinational and Patricia works as a civil servant. We like to visit other countries as a family, learning about new cultures, meeting new people. A combination between spending time on the countryside as well as walking around in cities is what we are looking for. This time we would travel with only our youngest son but with a friend and his 2 children so in total 6. Non-simultaneous exchange is an option.

Where is it?
Votre Quartier
The area is rural but still very close to the city of Mechelen which is in between Brussels and Antwerp and only 15 min from our home. The area has a lot of possibilities for cycling (4 bicycles available) but it is also a great start for getting to know the Belgium/Netherlands/Luxemburg area, the north of France and West of Germany. Brugge and the Belgian coast are 1,5 hours away. Paris, Amsterdam and Cologne are within 3 hours driving.
