Our house is situated, quiet and idyllically in in one of the beautifulest countrysides of Austria, the “Waldviertel”: www.waldviertel.at
It is built on an ancient powerplace.
There are three bedrooms with eight beds and optional two beds in the living room. In the large roof (80m2) there is a children`s playing-room with additional mattresses for sleeping or playing. So, if needed, the house is suitable for more people.
The large, living-, cooking- and dining room is fully equipped with electric-oven, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Cooking and baking is also possible on a wooden heated oven.
There are dining tables up to 16 places.
One main-bathroom with shower and two bathrooms with WC´s.
The house has central heating and a cosy heater of stone in the center of the living room.
In the large yard around the house you have a fire-place, barbecue and a big meadow for playing and relaxing. The yard and the woods in the neighbourhood are a large “natural-adventure-playground” for parents and children.
We are Martin and Gerti. We are a patchwork family of seven members, we two, and five children in the ages between 10 and 23. Gerti´s three sons are adult and have already left the house, but we are happy to bring the families together on journeys and free time activities.
Martin is the owner of a gardening company and I, Gerti, am an artist (puppeteer and actress). The house we offer here is our weekend-house, where we enjoy to spend a lot of our free time in summer and also in winter, relaxing and enjoying the nature. So as a contrast, we would like to visit a big city in our holiday this year.
You can enjoy relaxing times in and around the house. For your trips to some of the most interesting cities of Austria, optional you can use our car (Mini-Van): Vienna – 2hours; Linz (European-cultural capital city 2009: www.linz09.at ) – 1:30 hours; Salzburg – 2:30 hours; Dürnstein-Wachau (one of the best wine-areas of Austria) – 1hour;… Also daytrips to Czechoslovakia are possible…
You have also a lot of opportunities for outdoor activities – hiking, swimming in idyllically ponds…: http://www.ausflugsplaner-waldviertel.at/default.asp?apln=2&apakt=70
For planning your trips we will prepare maps and info material for you.
