Notre maison

Our home has the best of both worlds: it looks out on the sky and trees while still giving the feeling of a cityscape. It is an apartment in which old meets modern and with its high ceilings, it is spacious and light-filled. If you are book lovers, you will appreciate our floor to ceiling bookshelves!

Apprenez plus sur nous-mêmes

  1. We are semi-retired ex-educators, having worked in international schools for over 35 years: I taught high school literature and now do independent work as an educational consultant; my husband taught history and philosophy and was a school director.

  2. I am a U.S. citizen, originally from Los Angeles, California and my husband is Austrian. We love travelling and have lived in New York, Vienna, northern Italy, Brussels, and Cairo, Egypt and had a home in Provence, France (which we sadly recently sold). We have two daughters, one living in New York and the other working in South Sudan.

  3. We like to read, to explore new places and cultures, and learning languages. We like photography and good food and wine (not connoisseurs though!) - and we also enjoy meeting new people.

Where is it?

Votre Quartier

We live in the 1st district, in the center and heart of Vienna but along the Canal, away from the busy tourist sections. It is around the corner from one of the most picturesque little squares, the Rudolfsplatz, with its charming little park in Vienna's center.
Rather than detailing them here, we will leave extensive lists of great places to eat and visit.

Plenty of great restaurants nearby.
Many cool bars in the vicinity.
Cafés are an integral part of Viennese life and there are numerous great cafés in the center, near our home.
Easy access on foot to shopping.
Museums, cinemas, galleries throughout the 1st district, where we live.
Many beautiful is right around the corner!
Gyms nearby, as well as walks along the canal.
Idée d’activités sur une journée
Loads to do, either on foot or by car.
