Notre maison

Our exceptionally colourful holiday home comprises of a collection of pieces picked up on our travels around the world and reflects our nomadic lifestyle - particularly in South Asia. It was originally our main home, but now that we are based predominantly in Canberra or overseas, it has been 'promoted' to our retreat.

The house has three large bedrooms - all three with queen/double beds and one bedroom with single bunk-beds. There is room to sleep perhaps two more (a sofa bed arrangement) in the TV room. We can offer a pool/games room, large spa bath, large sitting and entertainment area, balcony with leafy views and a variety of colourful bird-life to hand feed. On occasion, our back yard is visited by very shy echidnas and wallabies (of the kangaroo family).

Our home backs on to Jervis Bay National Park and is a 500m walk to the pristine and dazzling white sands of Greenfields and Blenheims Beaches. Hyams Beach (which is recorded as having the whitest sands in the world), is only a 10-15 minute walk away along a coastal bush track.

Jervis Bay is especially famous for its unique marine life, therefore scuba and snorkeling are favourite pastimes here. We can offer basic snorkeling gear for your use and also recommend nearby PADI dive shops in Huskisson for more advanced Scuba gear. Whale and dolphin watching tours are regularly run from nearby Huskisson and Booderee National Park is approximately 20 minutes by car.

Limited Wifi and phone access is available here, but we may be able to offer solutions to this. Trains from Sydney to Bomaderry (Nowra) several times daily and local buses from there to Vincentia (20-30 minutes away) are available - otherwise car rental is probably the best option - and a cleaning service can also be provided during your stay if necessary, however we can discuss these things when we liaise!

Apprenez plus sur nous-mêmes

  1. We're a couple in our early 50s with two sons aged 26 and 24 years.

  2. Mel is a retired Australian Naval officer but we both are now humanitarian workers often deploying overseas for several months at a time

  3. We lived Pakistan for several years, and our home reflects the vibrance of South Asia. We currently reside in the Middle East, returning occasionally to catch up with our Australian friends.

Where is it?

Votre Quartier

Vincentia is a small village close to Huskisson, and is a relaxing get-away destination for those who like to be close enough to cafe/bar culture, but far enough away to enjoy the peace of the Australian bush.
