“Our family had a wonderful time at Pieter's Beach House. Their house is beautiful, the location - walking distance to the restaurants, parks and grocery store - is fantastic, and that beach - WOW! Sparkling blue water and white sand just a few steps from their front yard. We spent every morning and afternoon at that beach. It was a joy to see its colours change throughout the day, ending with stunning sunsets. We can't wait to return next year!”

“It’s difficult to know where to start because there is just so much to love about Pieter’s home in Mandurah - it’s a truly special place - a real piece of paradise! The house itself is beautiful and sits in a stunning location right on the beach. The house is immaculately presented and very well equipped - every attention to detail has been covered which makes staying there such a pleasure and so easy. The living area works really well and looks out onto the lawn and the sea. The bedrooms are all extremely spacious and very comfortable. The main bedroom on the second floor is a real treat - waking up to the sound of the sea and the gorgeous views as you open the shutters … what a way to start the day! We spent a lot of time on the balcony as the view is so beautiful and we always sat and watched the sun set with our G&Ts! The outside areas are amazing - the lawn leads directly to the beach and there’s a great patio area where we enjoyed many a BBQ. The beach is beautiful, the sea is gorgeous for a swim, especially first thing in the morning and on occasions dolphins come very close to the shore. It was so nice to be able to stroll from the house to the sea. Each day we would take a short walk along the beach to the Marina and the Town centre. There was so much to see and do. We found the Mandurah Canal trip really interesting it's not as long as the dolphin tour and we saw lots of dolphins (you get a good discount if you book this online and not in the shop). The War Memorial is also a lovely walk (worth listening to the recoded history). We also found some great places to eat (our two favourites - Redmanna and Flics Kitchen). From the moment we arrived to when we left everything was perfect. Pieter took the time to travel from Perth to meet us which was really nice. It was lovely to meet him and he made us feel very welcome. From the moment we started to plan our visit, Pieter was extremely helpful, he always responded to messages promptly and communicated well throughout the entire process. We feel very privileged to have stayed at Pieter and Cheryle’s home in Mandurah and were sorry to leave. We would love to return at a future date and maybe stay there a little longer next time! We would highly recommend a stay here - Pieter and Cherle's home is outstanding and Mandurah has something to suit all ages and interests! ”
“Words can hardly describe how wonderful the house and location are. Thank you Pieter and family for letting us stay in your fabulous beach side home with magnificent coastal views. There was plenty of room for our daughter and family to stay too and we had a great family holiday. Dolphin Quay is walking distance with its many bars and restaurants (and occasional dolphin sighting). Highlights included a trip on the Dolphin cruise and another one on the Pirate ship. But there is so much more to see and do in the area and Pieter's house is the ideal base from which to explore.”
“We spent a wonderful week in Pieter’s home. The location is incredible, the lawn leads directly to the sand hills and onto the beach. We walked the beach and jumped the waves by day and sat on the patio enjoying a bbq and listening to the crashing waves in the evening. The home itself is pristine, so comfortable and luxurious. Pieter was great to deal with, we would be delighted to return to his home on any future trips to Western Australia.”
“Five star house, a hop, step and a jump through the sand dunes on to a fabulous beach. Long leisurely barbecues followed by long leisurely strolls through the surf - bliss! Sitting on the balcony with a glass of Margaret River’s finest watching amazing sunsets as dolphins gambolled in the ocean below - double bliss! Five star hosts Pieter and Cheryle. They made us so welcome, within minutes we felt we’d known them for ever. Such was their kind hospitality, they shared their enthusiasm for Western Australia by taking us on a day-long tour of Perth and it’s seaside resorts. Memorable. Mandurah is only 40 odd minutes away by train from Perth - an ideal and inexpensive way to get to and explore the scenic city. Don’t miss King’s Park overlooking the mighty Swan River. Be moved walking down Honour avenues of eucalyptus where each tree has a plaque commemorating the life of some 1700 war dead. Lunch at Fraser’s restaurant after enjoying the botanic gardens. Then take a river boat to Fremantle, admiring the many luxury homes on the way. The port city was a real surprise with its beautifully restored gentrification of old homes, shops and warehouses - a refreshing contrast to high-rise Perth. Escaping the snow in London, the sun shone incessantly and we felt very at home in WA, especially living in a beachside property right out of the pages of luxury homes magazines. Now only 17 hours away with Qantas, Pieter and Cheryle’s family retreat is a hidden gem. We look forward to catching up with them this summer in Scotland. ”
“We were lucky enough to stay at Pieter's beach house in January and had a fantastic time. The house is well equipped, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The house was very well set up for kids too. The house is right on the beach and has amazing views and a great grass area for the kids to play. If you aren't busy enjoying the beach, the Mandurah marina is only and easy walk away and has some great restaurants and coffee shops to enjoy. Pieter was great to deal with, and even drove up from Perth to meet and welcome us. We can't recommend enough.”
“The beach house at Mandurah could not be faulted in any way. It was extremely well furnished and appointed, with large bedrooms and a wonderful living room/kitchen with a view out to sea. Our communication with Pieter was very good and he even came down from Perth to greet us and show us around. Access to coffee shops, restaurants etc in Mandurah was easy - a short walk to Dolphin Quay (Moko coffee shop), a longer walk along the foreshore to Mandurah town centre (Jean Pierre Sancho cafe). We enjoyed walking in Creery Wetlands (a 10 minute drive) and coffee at the Nourishing Soul Cafe. We would not hesitate to recommend Pieter's home for a holiday break by the sea.”
