Located in a quiet cul de sac. On bus route at the Taroona/Sandy Bay border. Cafes, grocery store, gourmet delicatessen, medical clinic, casino mins away. There is a delightful, private beach with sand and rocks, and coastal walk only 2 mins walk from the house Only 12 mins into the CBD of Hobart for a large array of cafes and dockside eateries plus access to boat and bus tours. On Saturdays, there is a huge open market. Hobart is one hour's flight from Melbourne or 1 1/2 hrs from Sydney and serviced by three domestic airlines or an overnight car & passenger ferry from Melbourne. A flight from Sydney can be as little as $59 o/w. The wines, oysters and cheeses rival those in France and there are deep sea fishing tours, winery tours and many national parks, unspoilt, uncrowded beaches and walking trails to enjoy on the beautiful island of Tasmania. There are also many golf courses. Go to the official government tourism site:www.discovertasmania.com for more details or feel free to ask questions.
I am a 52 year old professional woman with 11 year old son who is sensible and mature and used to international travel. I am house proud and would care for your house similarly. My son would travel with me in September. Open to a non simultaneous exchange so that those from northern hemisphere may wish to visit Australia during the summer, in January. I have alternative accommodation during this month.
