Seasons in Australia are reversed to the Northern Hemisphere - i.e. Winter is June to August with spring in September to November, Summer is December to February. Australia has a temperate climate, with over 340 sunny days per year.
The Gold Coast is on Queensland’s southern border where Queensland meets New South Wales. The climate is sub-tropical - summers are warm, winters are mild and autumn & spring offer the very best of climates.
In winter, only the very bravest swim in the sea. But Bayview Bay Apartments’ swimming pool (and spa) is temperature controlled, so you can swim throughout the year.
The Gold Coast is Australia’s premium holiday location. It is large enough to have all the facilities and features of a large city, including huge shopping complexes, theatres, nightclubs, several world-class golf courses and driving ranges, an international airport and many live music entertainment venues.
But if you are looking for a quieter and more relaxed holiday, the Gold Coast has that too. It has some of the world’s best surfing beaches. If you enjoy fishing you can join a day trip to go deep-sea fishing and there are also plenty of quiet still-water fishing locations.
Behind the Gold Coast's celebrated beaches, city skyline and meandering canals, just 30 minutes away is an impressive frame of rolling hills and hinterland mountains capped with jungle rainforests, complete with many hiking tracks.
We are a couple in our early sixties. My name is Greg and I am a semi-retired company director. My wife Gloria is a Yoga Chi-Gung teacher. We are flexible with dates and destinations and are happy to consider simultaneous or non-simultaneous exchanges.
We are very happy to consider exchanges in any part of the world (other than Australia and NZ, where we have already travelled extensively). We will care for your home as if it was our own.
