“This floor to ceiling glass house in the middle of the rainforest provides you with literally a bird's eye view of the animal and bird life of this beautiful part of Australia. You also get to hear it - after a heavy storm the frogs set up such a cacophony of sound we could have been sitting in the brass section of an orchestra. Wonderful! Our hosts were charming and easy to deal with. We spent every day driving a different route along the local roads every single one of which is lovely - rolling pastures, tall rainforests, lots of creeks and causeways, the beautiful coastline, and some very good, sometimes quirky cafes along the way. The rest of the time we spent enjoying the comfort and beauty of this wonderful forest home.”

The House, set at tree height in 30 acres of rainforest,
is not for normal people. Those without a well developed sense of adventure, who are not devoted and passionate about their environment would miss the magical point of this place.
The 30 minute journey from the nearest town through lush tropical rainforest along a winding country gravel road following upper Wilsons creek is just as amazing as the final destination. There are 11 creek crossings to negotiate before you arrive.
The house is a very large kitchen, with comfortable areas for lolling about and being entertained, eating in one of the many different locations or relaxing and just observing nature, all in the one idyllic space as most of the exterior walls are floor to ceiling glass, including the bathroom providing an intimate view of the rainforest and its inhabitants. The diverse flora and fauna around the house and in the valley will entertain and captivate your senses. There is a private swimming hole on the property where you can do laps in crystal clear waters and catch a glimpse of the resident platypus
Although deep in the jungle the home offers the lap of luxury including 40 inch LED Smart Cable TV as well as Wi Fi high speed ADSL broadband Internet connections. There is an excellent Bose iPod dock sound system, central heating and wood burning enclosed fire.
Designed by one of the co-owners, a well know Australian architect it was originally built 30 years ago. At night the building, a classic and timeless design of glass and steel resembles a space ship that has landed in the middle of the rainforest.
There are many kilometers of walks around the property that backs on to a national park.
The house has been featured in architectural magazines and on the lifestyle TV channel 'HOME'. A copy of the video is available
