Notre maison

Set high above Kingston with superb views over the borough and amongst a bush setting the large allotment of 1432sqm is private with space for the kids to run and play and to enjoy summer BBQ's. This is your Tassie retreat with only 10 minutes drive to Hobart CBD and 2 minutes drive to Kingston beach, shops and cafes. Two double bedrooms upstairs with large living areas featuring timber floors and large windows, inviting the natural surrounds and sunlight in, offers a warm and cosy ambience with multiple deck areas for outdoor entertaining that nestle amongst the tree tops. Providing a wood heater for those cosy winter nights or air conditioning for hot summer days. Expect to see some wildlife like a wallaby bounding around the front at night or the odd possum and during the day you may see a kookaburra, gallar, cockatoo or even a peacock.
There's a 15 minute walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the beautiful alum cliff walk which climbs from Tyndall Beach through coastal blue gum forest with tall silver banksias. The track then winds up through silver peppermint bushland, dips into a glorious fern- filled gully, before rising again onto headlands for commanding views over Storm Bay and the Derwent Estuary. Close to the local golf club, kayaking, beach volley ball, yachting gym, Olympic sized swimming pool and walking tracks.
Tasmania offers so many magical locations including pristine beaches, rainforests, waterfalls, mountains, rivers which are all closely accessible from our home. Nearby destinations that are a must include botanical gardens, any winery, Bonorong wildlife rescue park, Bruny Island (more beaches and an opportunity to see penguins in their natural habitat), Herts Mountain, Tahune air walk, Mount Wellington,
Our place is also close festivals and cultural events going on in the nearby city, check out the Salamanca market, our famous MONA arts centre (accessible via ferry or car/bus), Taste of Tasmania and other arts events going on at the pier. Elizabeth street, North Hobart offers gorgeous shops, an art gallery, an arts cinema and tasty worldly cuisine. There are also amazing restaurants all down Salamanca place. For dinner with a bar, locally I recommend Beachfront 32, The Beach or for a daytime coffee Bread or Splash.
