Quiet flat in art deco building. Front door downstairs off quiet street, back door to secluded garden shared between the 6 flats in the block. Stays lovely and cool in the heat of the summer. Eat-in kitchen with gas oven and stone worktops. Two double bedrooms, both with small TV and DVD player, one with additional 'sun room' off. Wooden floorboards throughout.
Bondi Junction is the hub of Sydney's eastern suburbs. All the shops and eateries you could want are in here or not too far away. You can have anything from cheapfast food to gourmet, just about any culture.
The flat is less than a half hour walk to several amazing beaches, including Bondi, Tamarama and Bronte...or 10 minutes in a bus, which run very regularly
The train/bus station is about 10 minutes walk from the flat. Trains to the city(15 minutes) and beyond - for example, the Blue Mountains are only two hours away. If you are a bush walker,the Royal National Park to the south and Kurangi to the north - are less than an hour away. Get on a bus or train in Bondi Junction, and you can get off at Circular Quay, and see Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House in a very short time.
I have enjoyed over 30 fantastic swaps in the past, with only one negative experience - not all organised from this site, or in my current home. I also recently started house/ pet- sitting which has been amazing.
I now work part time, so interested in short swaps (overnight or up to 2 weeks) any time.
In 2023, l am interested in swaps anywhere in Australia, or the world. I may be retired by then. I am open to all offers.
If you are interested in coming to my place on a points swap, its 100 points per night, but that is just for one double bedroom and sharing the rest of the house with me....unless l happen to be away, which l often am, and then you would have the whole place to yourselves. If you need the whole house, l can usually find somewhere else to go, so let me know.

“We had a lovely stay at Nan's place. Nice neighborhood, nice apartment, perfect location to discover Sydney (half way between the CBD and Bondi and Bronte Beach). Unfortunately, we couldn't meet Nan but the communication was easy and fast. we recommand her place!”

“Our host is so easy to deal with, adaptable and happy to assist. Quick to respond and thoughtful to leave us fruit, bread, drinks etc when we arrive. We have stayed on four occasions. The home is very clean and full of colour. It is in walking distance to Bondi Junction or there is a bus 3 minutes away that stops in front of Eastgate and then goes on to the bus depot and train station. If you like to walk the beach is also in walking distance. We have enjoyed our time in Bondi Junction and meeting this lovely host.”

It is in walking distance of Westfield, cafes, banks and the train station and bus depot. Easy to reach the city and other locations. A bus goes directly to Bondi Beach. “This is our second stay at Nan’s place. She is a very accommodating hostess. Her home is spotless, she leaves fruit, milk bread and other food items. Not to far from Bondi Junction Shopping Centre or the train station. Easy bus ride to Bondi Beach. Near cafes and restaurants. Communication is excellent and there is every chance we will return. ”
“Nan is a lovely person, thinking of everything her guests may need - the perfect host. We had intended to swap homes in 2020 but COVID put an end to our visit to Sydney. Nan went out of her way to ensure we could visit at a time convenient to us in July 2021 and extend our stay. She was a delight to have in our home and left our place absolutely spotless. When we arrived at her home she had generously equiped the refrigerator with food and drink for our arrival. Her delightful, spotless and colourful apartment is in a nice quiet location, only a six minute walk down hill, to the Bondi Junction shopping complex that caters for your every need. Restaurants and cafes are in abundance along the streets and the trains and busses run regularly and reach the City in 3 stops. Nan’s home is a very convenient location to explore all of Sydney. We had such a good time we are returning in September. Thank you Nan.”
“Had a very relaxing time at Nan's apartment in Bondi Junction. Nice quiet area yet very convenient location and close to excellent bus and train links, short walk to Bondi Road with it's shops, cafes and restaurants. Very easy to travel into central Sydney or to Bondi Beach or eastern suburbs. Nan was very friendly and welcoming and I was able to use all parts of the apartment and garden no trouble. Nan's house provided a great location being in a quiet street only a 10 minute walk from Bondi Junction centre with its impressive shopping facilities and, most importantly, transport links to most of the must see sights of Sydney and environs. “Nan was the perfect host - friendly and very welcoming. I spent five very happy weeks as her guest . Her flat is perfectly placed very near to lots of buses going everywhere, frequent trains going into central Sydney, and also the buzzing shopping hub of Bondi Junction. which includes a massive Westfield mall. My room was cosy and comfortable and it was very nice to have use of all the flat and garden. Thank you Nan for a brilliant stay. ”
“Swapped with Nan September/October 2018. Initially I was concerned that Nan's place was a little way out from the centre of Sydney which is where I wanted to spend a lot of time. However, Bondi Junction is end of the subway (underground) line and is also a main bus station hub. It's only 3 subway stops, 8 to 10 minutes, to be in the centre of Sydney. This meant it was quick and easy to travel, anywhere in Sydney and surrounds at any time of day or night (night busses run all night), using an Opal card. It was also easy to walk (or bus) to the easterly beaches, such as Bondi, Bronti and others, in half an hour. There are plenty of facilities nearby, large and small shops, cafe's, restaurants, parks, etc. All in all a very convenient place to spend some time. Nan left my place as she found it, clean and tidy. ”

I prefer swaps within walking distance of shops, restaurants etc, and with easily accessible public transport. If l travel with my partner, driving is an option ( would love to negotiate use of your car), but on my own or with family or friend, we don't drive.
5 minutes walk to huge shopping centre. Less than 10 minutes walk to Bondi Junction train and bus station. Several beaches, including Bondi, within half an hour's walk, or very regular buses.CBD, Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour, Sydney Wildlife centre, zoo, Madame Tussauds, China Town, The Rocks etc. all easily accessed via public transport. Trains to the Blue Mountains from Central Station - a few stops from Bondi Junction.
