Notre maison

Without sacrificing any 21st Century conveniences, where my wife and I live in Quebec City is a throw-back to the 18th Century. Daily there's an opportunity to experience its pastimes, traditions, and French culinary treasures! For example, in the summer there are festivals, museums, artisans, and street entertainers. In the winter, the nearest ski slope is but a 20-minute drive! In a word, "enchanting".

Apprenez plus sur nous-mêmes

  1. We're a couple with an eight-year-old son and three-year-old daughter.
  2. Hal works in advertising & marketing while Olga is a professional translator.
  3. We like the fact that Quebec is like living in Europe with all the conveniences of North America.

Destinations idéales

Where is it?

Votre Quartier

For either dinner or lunch, l'Echaude never disappoints.
Bars cool
Uncle Antoinne's, located right around the corner, has unbeatable Canadian ale on tap.
Cafés sympas
Try Cafes Du Soleil on Rue St. Paul (St. Paul Street) for the best coffee in town!
Cure shopping
If Simon's doesn't meet all of a woman's expectations, then a stroll past the shops on Rue St. Jean (St. Jean Street) will. Plus, there's always the mall on the west side of town, most of whose shops an American wouldn't recognize.
Un peu de culture
Set aside a visit to the nearby Museum of Civilization for a rainy day, even a sunny day.
Promenades au parc
The magestic Plains of Abraham are accessible via a walk along the Dufferin Terrace, then Governor's Promenade. A terrific view of the St. Lawrence River will be over one's left shoulder on the hike up.
Un peu d'exercice
During July & August, there's a wonderful outdoor pool 10 minutes away by foot along Blvd. Champlain.
Randonnées d'un jour
Downstream along the St. Lawrence River, whale-watching in Tadoussac? Upstream along the St. Lawrence, waterfalls-marveling at Parc Des Chutes?
